Josiah's Journey

P5260178.JPG (220955 bytes)

Hi! My name is Josiah. Welcome to josiahsjourney.com. I live with my parents and two sisters in Oregon. I have Spina Bifida. Spina Bifida means open spine. The lower part of my spine did not close properly while I was in the womb. Because of this, I had fetal surgery performed at 24 weeks of gestation age. This operation was done by Drs. Bruner and Tulipan at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

I was born on April 23, 2000 at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). My first year was quite exciting with lots of hospital stays and doctor visits.

I'm in Second Grade for the 2007-2008 school year. I'm having fun and enjoying school.

We have a local fishing derby sponsored by the local power company and others. I am featured on their flier. Check it out!

Check out the picture pages.

I can now walk by myself using my RGOs and "walking sticks".

The FS4SB 2001 scrapbook is now posted.

A limited number of the 2002 reunion books are still available. Just contact Gina at gina(at)josiahsjourney.com for your copy. Free envelope artwork by Josiah is included.

Dad is working on updating this web site. Of course it takes time to do this in amongst all the other things he has to do. Thank you for your patience.
